The Open Dump Cleanup Program uses landfill fees to remove illegal dumps, clean up streams, and to gather evidence to prosecute illegal dumping activity.

The program has completed over 6,830 projects, resulting in the removal of an estimated 142,924 tons of material, including 25,707 tons of steel, 61,124 appliances and 1,986,614 tires.

Over 21,467 volunteers have pitched in to help make these projects a success.
